  • Thamsborg, G., Florescu, A., Oturai, P., Fallentin, E., Tritsaris, K., & Dissing, S. (2005). Treatment of knee osteoarthritis with pulsed electromagnetic fields: a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study. Osteoarthritis and Cartilage, 13(7), 575-581. Although this study focused on knee osteoarthritis, the results could potentially be applicable to hip osteoarthritis as well. The study found that active PEMF treatment resulted in a significant improvement in pain relief and physical function compared to the placebo group, suggesting that PEMF therapy may be beneficial for osteoarthritis pain management.
